1983- A crazy scientist from a factory in Japan has been trying for days to make inanimate objects come to life. He gets very angry when none of objects come to life. He dumps all of the chemicals down the drain. The chemicals leak into the water around the facility.
A young boy named Fuyu was playing in a park near the factory. Fuyu sees this brightly colored water and brings the water to his dad thinking it will make his takoyaki taste even better. His father wasn’t having very good luck selling his takoyaki. Fuyu runs as quickly as he can to his fathers stand and shows him this stange looking water. The father, thinking anything can make his takoyaki taste better thanks the son and uses it in the batter. The chef pours the batter into the takoyaki makers. When it hits the pans, the pans start to shake. The chef checks the takoyaki balls and they are all glowing blue. He closes the pan and turns off the heat but it’s too late. The balls are transforming. “Where did you get this water from!!!” his father screams. Suddenly there is an explosion. The takoyaki flies higher and farther than the eye can see. The takoyaki owner grabs Fuyu and saves him from the explosion.
Unknown to the chef and his son, the takoyaki balls go all the way up into space. They drop back down and spread all over the world. The first tako egg lands in New York City…..
